err dare I offer an alternative here.
If a fag hag is someone who latches onto gay men then surely the portmanteau suggests something slightly different- maybe kylie minogue or judy garland who is a fagmagnet from beyond the grave which would wrap this up nicely when you think that Beyond the Grave is a classic Amicus portmanteau movie from a bygone age which is ever so slightly camp.
